WHAT IS THE MALCOLM BALDRIGE AWARD? The Malcolm Baldrige Award was created to honor companies in the public and private sectors which demonstrate a continuing commitment to excellence. This commitment is demonstrated by visionary leadership, a fact based customer driven culture, continual learning, and a focus on the future. They are characterized by innovation, a systems perspective, and creating value for their stakeholders. The Baldrige Award focuses on criteria in seven (7) different categories:
